Jazyk ako identifikačný faktor etnických menšín / Language as an identifying factor of the ethnic minorities

PhDr. Martina Bocánová, PhD., UCM in Trnava, Slovakia, ID CLEaR2017-747;   Abstrakt: Príspevok analyzuje problémy jazyka ako dôležitého faktoru identifikácie etnických menšín. V článku poukazujeme na špecifický vzťah k jazyku pre jeho nositeľov v situáciách, kedy sa  nejedná o jazyk majority. V štúdii vychádzame z výskumov v Slovensko – maďarskom pohraničí a prostredí Huncokárov. Analyzujeme situácie, kedy aktívna znalosť jazyka predstavuje dôležitú súčasť identity nositeľa, ale i situácie, kedy je na ňom nezávislá a odvodzuje sa hlavne zo sociálnych a historických situácií dôležitých pre jednotlivca a jeho okolie. Štúdia je sondou do vzťahu človeka a jazyka na základe ktorého vytvára jednotlivec svoje špecifické názory na svoje okolie a na svoju osobnú identitu.

 The paper analyzes the problems of language as an important factor of identifying ethnic minorities. The article points to the specific relationship to the language for the holders in situations where this is not the language of the majority.  In the study we start from research in Slovakia - Hungarian border and enviroments of Huncokar.  We analyze situations where active knowledge of the language is an important part identitiy wearer, but also situations where it is independent and is derived mainly from social and historical situations who are important for individuals and their environment. This study defines the relationshipbetween man and language as the basis of their individual specific views of your surroundings and your personal identity.
