Beyond Words: Power of Pictures in EFL Classrooms

Pictures are powerful teaching tools that can stimulate curiosity, support comprehension, and motivate learners of all ages. The workshop will explore the potential of visual materials in the EFL classroom, focusing on how pictures can be used to introduce vocabulary, scaffold storytelling, foster
critical thinking, and differentiate tasks for diverse learners. Participants will experience activities using different types of pictures and learn how to adapt them for various proficiency levels. Special attention will be given to engaging younger learners and supporting students with specific needs through multimodal input. Teachers will be provided with selected strategies to enrich their lessons and make language learning more memorable, meaningful, and enjoyable.
