Implementing an extensive reading course into an EAP program (poster)

Cristina Tat, Kyoto Tachibana University, Japa, ID LLCE2018-349;     Abstract: I will discuss how an extensive reading component was introduced into our university’s undergraduate courses for the English Communication Department.  We will discuss the rationale behind the Total Words targets that were set, the successes and challenges we faced with the software application program we used (, as well as the methods we selected to measure the progress our students have been making in terms of reading comprehension and reading rate.
