Observation in English Language Pedagogy Research

Jakub Hriňák, University of Trnava, Slovakia;      Abstract: The study is focused on observation as a research method since this natural method can be used to acquire valid and reliable information necessary to answer research questions or hypothesis. Observation will be discussed from the perspective of its definition as a research method. The paper is also going to describe various types of observation, as well as to characterize factors that are important for validity and reliability of the above mentioned research method. The study will also focus on observation from the perspective of its application, especially on the implementation of the method inside already published research papers.
